"Real World Labs" Test 2006
Network Computing, one of Germany's leading computer magazines
has announced Amaranten as the winner of the "real-world
labs" test 2006.
The test conducted by Real World Labs investigated whether these systems, in addition to the required security, also offer the necessary performance in the Fast Ethernet segment. The benchmark particularly focused on the aspects of firewall and VPN performance, quality of service, high availability, and exploit recognition that underwent in-depth testing. The tested products included security appliance systems from the vendors Fortinet, Gateprotect, Lucent, Securepoint, Symantec and Amaranten. The Amaranten Security defeated all competitive products and once again was announced as the winner of the prestigious test.

"Real World Labs" Test 2004
Network Computing, one of Germany's leading computer magazines
has announced Amaranten as the winner of the "real-world
labs" test 2004.
The focus of the in-depth test, conducted in co-operation with
Dr. Bernhard G. St'z from FH University in Stralsund, was performance.
In competition with other well-known products like Cisco PIX
515E, Sonicwall Pro 3060 and Lucent Brick 350, Amaranten was
the only vendor to receive the score A+ which is the highest
possible score.

by China Computer World
China Computer World, one of China's largest and most important
IT magazines, has awarded a Amaranten high-end product the "Recommended
Product" award after a thorough evaluation of gigabit firewalls
on the Chinese market. The magazine states that the Amaranten
product is recognized as a pearl among products, and showed
splendid reliability during the entire evaluation. As one of
few products passing all tests, the Amaranten product is competent
for applications within the telecom operator segment as well
as for large enterprises, concludes the magazine.

Amaranten announced as winner of the prestigious
IDG Network & Communication Firewall Test on Dec. 10, 2004
For the fourth consecutive year, Amaranten was declared winner
of the annual IDG - Network & Communication Firewall test
(in Scandinavia). Amaranten defended it's outstanding track
record and extended its lead against other firewall vendors
such Juniper / Netscreen, Checkpoint, Fortinet and others.
This year IDG - Network & Communication focused the test
on performance and management capabilities and Amaranten's F600
firewall/VPN appliance was rewarded, with honors, the highest
score possible.

F300 Wins Leading IDG Networking Magazine Test
For the third consecutive year, Amaranten is the winner of the
great annual Network & Communication Nordic Firewall test.
Pitched against other leading firewall vendors such as Watchguard
and Cyberguard, Amaranten managed to defend its title and come
out with the highest score possible; 5.0 out of 5.0!

7.0 best in test... again!
It was up to Amaranten to defend 2001 title as the winner of
the major firewall competence test between the most noted names
on the firewall market. Amaranten proved (once again) that their
product is still one of the most competent and secure firewall
on the market, as they won "Best in Test" for the
second year running.

Amaranten's Firewall
7.0 winner of "Technical Excellence 2002" in the category
"security".
This year for the first time PC Expert introduced category "security"
and the editors without hesitation elected Amaranten and its
Firewall 7.0 as the winners in this new category. We are proud
to win the first prize in this last but not least of categories
of "Technical Excellence 2002".
Two finalists of this category were :Arkoon Network Security
Firewall Secure Blue and NetAsq F50.
About "Technical
Excellence"
During the years, PC Expert's "Technical Excellence"
became a must of the IT market. Faithful to its goals, the global
technologies reference paper once again elected the year 2002
best products. In 2001, 1500 products were tested by the paper,
and between 1500, 57 were nominated - 3 in each of the 19 existing
categories. Within each were elected the best products of the
year : the products that, according to PC Expert, mark, or will
mark the computer industry. Selection was based on the objective,

Amaranten's
Firewall 7.0 "Editors choice" of .netpro
The . netpro test lab tested Amaranten's Firewall 7.0 and assigned
it a label "Editors choice", after comparing it to
other previously tested firewalls. This label positions Firewall
7.0 as one of the best, if not the best firewall on the market.
The Firewall 7.0 received the 16/20 mark, based on four selection
criteria : functional wealth, ease of use, ergonomy and the
price/quality ratio. .Edouard Tonneau, the test performer, states
that the Amaranten's Firewall belongs to the group of "firewalls
based on the proprietary operating systems, effective and not
easy to fail".
The editor prefers firewall's adaptability, effectiveness and
the wide functionality.

The Firewall 7.0 from Amaranten named as PC Expert's
"Editor's choice" in the Firewalls comparison article.
PC expert editors tested different firewalls (software and appliances)
and chose our firewall to be the best product. As for the criteria
of selection, PC Expert confirmed that "The Firewall 7.0
from Amaranten detached itself by its original philosophy".
This well deserved merit was obtained thanks to its proprietary
development, leading to a total independence from any known
operating system, thus avoiding any classical errors.
PC Expert also explains that "the firewall is an Internet
access security key point", by referencing many market
studies showing that " the local network damages following
the pirate attacks have an important financial impact - if they
don't threaten the company as a whole".
The Amaranten's Firewall was tested against three other software
products and three appliances, comparing the functionality and
attack resistance of all of them.
