From November 21 to 23, 2008, the “2008 Annual Meeting of Jiangsu Universities and Colleges Network Technology Committee” hosted by Jiangsu Universities and Colleges Network Technology Committee and Network Committee of Jiangsu Institute of Electronics was held in Changshu City of Jiangsu Province. More than 100 professors, experts and scholars from over 60 colleges and universities of the province attended the meeting, and the vice mayor of Changshu city Li Shishou attended the opening ceremony.

  The meting focused on the theme of a new generation of digital campus construction and carried out the exchange of experiences in the information-based construction of colleges and universities in recent years. Especially in recent years because of the promotion of the “211 Project” and related plans, the colleges and universities had a significant development in the construction of network infrastructure, information systems and other aspects. The meeting also carried out an ardent discussion on the hot topic of the next phase of information construction of colleges and universities, providing a lot of valuable experience and new ideas for the discussion of sustainable development of information construction of colleges and universities.

  The executive deputy general manager, also China sales director of Amaranten (Asia) Networks Co., Ltd., Mr. Xiao Nan was invited to the meeting. During the meeting, Mr. Xiao Nan and Changshu city’s leadership, as well as experts of colleges and universities carried out exchange and discussion on the information construction of Changshu City, the latest developments and trends at home and abroad and specific issues and solutions in the practice process of information security for the information management and security of colleges and universities.
