This KB article presents a number of
links to information on how to get various microsoft protocols through
a firewall. We would like to note that, as usual, the fact that it is
possible to do something through a firewall,
does not necessarily mean that it is a good idea to do so.
As always, the effects of permitting any traffic through a firewall
should be fully understood, and, if
possible, its risks mitigated - through network segmentation or other
means.
